Miracles of Marble Cove

Captivated by the messages in the hard-to-read letters of Jeremiah Thorpe, the four friends feel surer than ever that a treasure is hidden somewhere in Marble Cove. Diane makes an accidental discovery of a map hidden in one of the letters. But will it reveal the treasure’s location or send the women back to square one?

During a walk in a new park, the four friends hear a train whistle, despite the fact that the railroad left town decades earlier. Drawn by the sound, the women stumble upon an abandoned train depot. What they find there leads them to a new investigation into Marble Cove’s mysterious past.

In their research, the women discovered that Dennis Calder wants to replace the town’s old train station with a shopping center. As they search for ways to preserve the structure, the information they uncover raises some captivation questions about its history. What happened to the last stationmaster, a flashy, high-living man who vanished in 1952? As always in Marble Cove, there is more to the story than meets the eye.

Compelled by Dennis Calder’s determination to get his hands on the old train station property, the four friends search for ways to preserve the charming but run-down structure by having it designated as a landmark. What they learn, however, implicates Elias Thorpe in a scandal that rocked Marble Cove in the 1950s and changed the town forever.
